Lead Treasury Accounting, Reporting, and Hedge Accounting Activities
Deliver insightful analysis, supporting audits and financial statements, managing FX and risk exposures; driving process improvements across treasury operations.
Client Details
Our client operates a sophisticated, centralised treasury function supporting a large international business.
They are looking for a Treasury Accountant to join the team, taking ownership of treasury accounting and reporting activities across cash, debt, foreign exchange and derivatives.
Working closely with Group Finance and Treasury leadership, the role will play a key part in delivering accurate reporting, hedge accounting compliance and treasury process improvements.
Description
- Own treasury-related accounting and reporting activities across cash, debt, FX and derivatives.
- Deliver insightful reporting, forecasting and variance analysis on treasury performance.
- Lead treasury and hedge accounting activities, including hedge effectiveness testing and cash flow hedge reserve accounting.
- Act as the key treasury contact for external auditors and support all treasury-related audit requirements.
- Prepare and analyse monthly treasury P&L, including interest expense and foreign exchange movements.
- Produce Group interest budgets, forecasts and associated variance reporting.
- Support the preparation of Group consolidated and treasury company financial statements.
- Maintain and enhance treasury accounting policies, controls and documentation.
- Partner with Treasury colleagues and wider Finance teams to identify, assess and account for FX exposures.
- Lead process improvement initiatives across treasury operations, systems and reporting.
- Support ad hoc analysis including rating agency reporting.

Profile
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, with ACT qualification or currently studying towards ACT.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS 9, treasury accounting and hedge accounting principles.
- SAP or other financial consolidation and reporting system experience is advantageous.
- Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical treasury and accounting concepts to a range of stakeholders.
- Proactive, adaptable and willing to take ownership of additional projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach and continuous improvement mindset.

Job Offer
Salary ranging from £75,000 to £85,000, dependent on the level of experience.
