Role: Group Virtual Plant Industrial Development Manager

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

What you will do:

You'll lead technical improvement and manufacturing transfer projects across Ethypharm's external manufacturing network, working with CMOs and internal teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs and maintain product quality and reliable supply. You'll also assess manufacturing options, support technical due diligence for acquisitions and in-licensing opportunities, and manage product integration and transfers in line with business priorities and regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with CMOs to investigate and resolve technical manufacturing issues, agreeing actions with Quality and Supply Chain to support product quality and reliable supply.
  • Identify and evaluate process improvements, including scale-up and process simplification, to increase efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess the technical feasibility, capability, capacity, cost and risks of transferring products between CMOs and Ethypharm sites, and present recommendations to support decisions.
  • Lead the industrial activities for approved manufacturing transfers, coordinating stakeholders, resources, timelines and milestones, and escalating risks or delays.
  • Support Business Development with technical due diligence for potential in-licensing opportunities and product acquisitions, assessing manufacturing requirements and risks.
  • Coordinate the industrial integration of acquired and in-licensed products into Ethypharm's external manufacturing network, working with relevant Group and site teams.
  • Work with Virtual Plant Supply Chain and Quality teams to align technical project activities with supply requirements and manage potential disruption.

About you

You'll have experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, improving processes and managing product transfers, along with a good understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements. You'll be comfortable working with CMOs and colleagues across the business, identifying technical risks and finding practical solutions. We're looking for someone who communicates clearly, works well with others and keeps projects moving.

Basic skills and qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • At least five years' relevant experience in manufacturing, technical operations or industrial development within a regulated GMP environment.
  • Good working knowledge of manufacturing and production operations and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects, coordinating activities and delivering agreed milestones.
  • Experience managing manufacturing transfer, product introduction or process improvement projects.
