The Role Outline: Your Week at a Glance
As our Group Exercise Coordinator, you are the ultimate architect of our studio. On a 16 hour per week contract, you will take total ownership of our group exercise programme, building vibrant class timetables, balancing the commercial budget, and handling the essential freelance admin. The best part? The 16 hours cover your operational duties, but if you are a qualified instructor, you have the absolute freedom to teach additional classes on our floor to seriously increase your earnings.
Why Village?
At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play. That is why we back our teams to be themselves, take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers.
Previous experience is great, but your organisational skills, commercial mindset, and passion for group exercise matter much more to us. If you know what makes a brilliant studio timetable tick and love the reality of wrangling freelance talent, we will give you all the support you need. Because it really does take a Village.
How the Village Thrives
We live our culture through four simple commitments:
- We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.
- We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
- We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your Remit: What You Will Actually Be Doing
We do not just need a great instructor; we need a super organised coordinator. We trust you to handle:
- The Timetable Reality: Building the schedule. You will take ownership of the class offering, potentially building it from scratch in some areas, to ensure we deliver the exact right mix of classes for our membership base.
- The Commercial Balance: Protecting the budget. You will manage the class spend, striking the perfect balance between using our internal team and our external instructors so our investment works as hard as possible.
- The Admin Hustle: Keeping the wheels turning. You will handle the vital behind the scenes work, from managing instructor paperwork to processing invoices through our systems so the talent gets paid on time.
- The Teaching Top Up: Maximising your earnings. Your 16 hours are strictly for your coordinator duties. Outside of that time, you have the fantastic opportunity to teach additional classes on the timetable to boost your take home pay.
How We Succeed Together
We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to manage your schedule, solve practical problems, and own the studio. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we provide excellent training and development to help you step up in your leisure career.
