London sets the perfect stage for The Standard’s first European flagship and since opening in 2019, The Standard, London has firmly established itself as one of the capital’s most dynamic lifestyle hotels.

Set in King’s Cross within the hotel’s iconic brutalist building, The Standard brings its design-led, culture-driven, activation-heavy philosophy to the heart of the city. With 266 guestrooms ranging from cosy rooms to terraced suites overlooking St Pancras, alongside a constant programme of cultural happenings, the hotel has become both a neighbourhood fixture and an international destination.

Our restaurants, bars and rooftop terraces are legendary. From Isla’s Garden setting to Double Standard’s vibrant energy, Decimo’s skyline dining and Sweeties’ late-night scene, our venues create a high-volume, multi-outlet operation that runs from early morning through to late night. Together, these spaces position The Standard, London as one of the city’s most exciting destinations for events, celebrations and brand experiences.

Your Role

As our Groups & Events Planner, you will provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the Groups & Events team, ensuring the smooth planning and delivery of group bookings, meetings, private events and client experiences across The Standard, London.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where organisation, attention to detail and proactive communication are essential. You will be responsible for the administration and planning of group and event business once contracted through to completion. In addition, you will also assist the executives and managers with overall support and reporting, working across different event spaces, sizes, and segments.

Working closely with the Sales & Events Executives, Managers and wider commercial team, you will ensure that all client information, booking details and operational requirements are accurately captured and communicated to internal stakeholders. From preparing booking documentation to managing room blocks and supporting invoicing processes, you will play a key role in delivering seamless experiences that are anything but Standard!

You'll be highly organised, solutions-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously. You will thrive in a busy environment where no two days are the same, balancing detailed administrative responsibilities with professional and engaging communication with both clients and colleagues.

Whilst previous experience within Events Administration, Group Reservations, Event Coordination or Hotel Sales Support is highly desirable, we welcome candidates from a variety of hospitality backgrounds who demonstrate strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

In addition, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in an Events Administrator, Events Coordinator, Group Reservations Coordinator or Sales Support role, ideally within hospitality, lifestyle or luxury hotel environments
  • Exceptional administrative and organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience managing multiple projects, enquiries and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence when liaising with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Experience preparing event documentation including function sheets, proposals, contracts, rooming lists and reports
  • A proactive and professional approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience maintaining booking systems, databases and CRM platforms with a high degree of accuracy
  • The ability to build effective working relationships across operational departments including Front Office, Revenue, Food & Beverage and Finance
  • Experience using Opera, Envision, and Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint) applications
  • A positive, flexible and solution-oriented mindset with a genuine passion for hospitality and events
