Growth & Marketing All-Rounder | Spruce
In just over two years, we’ve scaled from 0 to almost 700 customers, outpacing competitors in the heat pump installation sector. Now, we’re on the hunt for a brilliant all-rounder to drive and accelerate our growth trajectory as we onboard thousands of installers over the next 18 months. This is a hands-on, high-impact role—fast-paced, stimulating, and deeply rewarding. You’ll work across marketing, commercial strategy, RevOps, reporting & analytics, and anything else that helps supercharge our growth.
This isn’t an easy job—but if you thrive on urgency, innovation, and meaning, and love working with an engaged, mission-driven team (and customers we adore), we’d love to hear from you.
🌳 About Spruce
Nearly 20% of the UK’s carbon emissions come from heating homes. To reach net zero, we must phase out gas and oil boilers—but heat pumps, the only viable alternative, face a critical problem: their installation process is slow, inefficient, and painful for installers, holding back growth and deterring gas engineers from entering the market. Worse, urgent replacements aren’t possible when boilers break, leaving customers without heating.
Our Solution
We’ve built a platform that streamlines the entire heat pump installation journey—from enquiry to compliance—so installers focus on high-quality work, customer service, and scaling their businesses. Since launching in early 2024, we’ve already delivered massive impact:
- Halved the time installers spend on each job
- Doubled sales conversion rates
- Boosted profitability by freeing up critical time
Our Vision
Last year, we raised a Seed round from top-tier investors and are rapidly scaling to expand beyond heat pumps. By year-end, we’ll be the operating system for the whole home renewables supply chain—think ServiceTitan x Procore x AutoCAD, but for clean energy. If this sounds exciting, read on.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

🤝 Working at Spruce
We’re a small but mighty team (26 as of now) split between London and Bristol. You’ll: 🔹 Spend 2–3 in-person days/week in either location, plus a fortnightlySync with everyone. 🔹 Have genuine influence from Day 1 – ideas win on merit, regardless of seniority. 🔹 Challenge everything. We expect you to ask "Why?" until you get to the root, and push back when something feels wrong. 🔹 Get out into the field – shadow installers, witness firsthand their struggles, and solve real problems, not guess at them. 🔹 Ship fast & learn faster – we iterate on imperfect things, take feedback graciously, and never blame failure. 🔹 OWN your outcomes – with the team’s support behind you. 💬 Feedback is constant, direct, and kind: If you’re not on the right track, we’ll tell you, and we want the same honesty back.
This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to reshape an industry, work alongside brilliant people, and build something that lasts. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you.
