Square Mile Farms is transforming our cities into healthier, happier & more sustainable places to live and work. We design, install and operate experiential urban farms within commercial buildings, residential developments and public spaces, enabling people to grow fresh, healthy and sustainable food right where they spend their time most. With over 120 farms across the UK, we help some of the world's leading property owners, occupier companies and workplace operators create more engaging, sustainable and healthier places, whilst delivering meaningful social value through education, community engagement and charitable partnerships. Working with many of the UK's leading commercial real estate organisations, we are redefining what outstanding occupier experience looks like by combining health, wellbeing, sustainability, placemaking and community impact into a unique, premium offering. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Growth & Business Development Analyst to help us identify, engage and win the next generation of clients and strategic partners.

The Role

This is a role with high commercial focus sitting at the intersection of strategy, marketing, business development, data analytics and relationship management. Equal parts analytical and creative, you'll combine rigorous market intelligence with imaginative thinking to own proactive lead generation and help Square Mile Farms grow.

You'll be responsible for identifying where our next opportunities lie, building intelligent target lists, developing highly personalised outreach campaigns, nurturing prospects through long sales cycles and helping convert opportunities into long-term client relationships.

This is not high-volume outbound sales or "spray and pray" marketing.

Success comes from understanding a relatively small universe of influential decision makers, knowing exactly who they are, why they matter, what they care about and work with our Marketing Manager to share compelling, highly tailored communications that demonstrate genuine insight. You'll become an expert in our unique operating landscape, understanding how complex commercial real estate decisions are made across landlords, developers, asset managers, facilities managers, catering partners, workplace teams and occupiers and how to connect these stakeholders around a shared vision of healthier, happier and more sustainable spaces.

Reporting directly to our CEO, you will work closely with our COO and Head of Customer to immerse yourself in our existing client relationships, understanding what makes them successful and translating those stories into compelling commercial propositions. You'll help bring our successes to life, celebrating the impact we've delivered for existing clients and tailoring those stories to demonstrate exactly how prospective clients could unlock similar, or even greater, value within their own organisations.

In this ‘first-of-its-kind’ role at Square Mile Farms you’ll join the business at a pivotal stage in our journey. Having established a strong reputation and an exceptional portfolio of global brand name clients, we're now poised for sustained growth. This role offers significant responsibility, autonomy and influence, with the opportunity to shape the future direction of the business by opening entirely new market segments, service offerings, channel partnerships and geographies. If you're excited by building something meaningful, taking ownership and making a visible impact, this is an opportunity to grow alongside the business whilst helping define its next chapter.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
