Growth & Commercial Co-Founder
About Rehmat Chocolate
Rehmat Chocolate is a growing UK chocolate brand specializing in premium, affordable Ramadan, Eid, and Islamic gifting products. Our range includes Ramadan Chocolate Countdown Calendars, premium chocolate bars, gifting products, and bespoke/private-label solutions for retailers, wholesalers, and brands.
We believe there is a significant opportunity to build one of the UK's leading Muslim-focused chocolate and gifting brands. We have already developed the products, branding, and manufacturing capability. We are now looking for the right commercial person to join us at an early stage, help accelerate growth, build distribution, and take Rehmat Chocolate to the next level.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Growth & Commercial Co-Founder to work closely with the founder and help build the commercial side of the business. This is not a traditional sales role. We want someone entrepreneurial who wants genuine ownership, responsibility, and the opportunity to help shape the future of Rehmat Chocolate.
The role will focus on growing our retail and wholesale presence, developing strategic partnerships, creating new revenue streams, and helping establish the brand as a leading name within Ramadan, Eid, and Muslim gifting.
This opportunity is initially designed to fit around your existing career and other commitments. You do not need to leave your current job to join us.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and execute our commercial growth strategy
- Build relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors
- Secure new retail stockists across the UK
- Identify and approach larger retail opportunities
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Grow our wholesale and B2B customer base
- Develop our bespoke and private-label offering
- Create strategic partnerships

- Help develop pricing, margins, and wholesale propositions
- Identify new routes to market
- Help shape our e-commerce growth strategy
- Explore opportunities with supermarkets, department stores, independent retailers, and online marketplaces
- Explore UK and international distribution opportunities
- Identify new products and commercial opportunities
- Work directly with the founder on launches and growth initiatives
- Use customer and market feedback to influence future products
- Help build sales processes, CRM pipelines, and account-management structures
- Represent Rehmat Chocolate at meetings, events, and trade opportunities
- Help shape the long-term commercial direction of the company

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

More importantly, we are looking for someone who is:
- Entrepreneurial
- Commercially minded
- Ambitious
- Self-motivated
- Proactive
- Confident approaching businesses and decision-makers
- Strong at building relationships
- Comfortable negotiating
- Able to identify and create commercial opportunities
- Comfortable working in an early-stage business
- Willing to roll their sleeves up
- Able to work independently
- Excited by the idea of helping build a brand
- Interested in being part of the business for the long term
You should be the type of person who sees an opportunity and thinks about how to make it happen rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Our Products
Our core range includes premium Ramadan Chocolate Countdown Calendars designed for children and families. Our calendars include:
- Premium Swiss milk chocolate
- Individually foil-wrapped chocolates for freshness
- Islamic content behind each window
- High-quality contemporary packaging
- Attractive pricing for consumers and retailers
- Designs created specifically for Muslim families
Alongside our Ramadan range, we are developing premium chocolate bars, gifting products, and other confectionery concepts. We also create bespoke and private-label chocolate products for other businesses, giving us an additional B2B growth opportunity.
Why Rehmat Chocolate?
The Muslim gifting market has grown significantly, but we believe there is still substantial room for high-quality, well-designed, and commercially accessible products. Our aim is to combine:
- Premium product quality
- Contemporary design
- Cultural relevance
- Accessible pricing
- Strong retail margins
- Products suitable for independent retailers and larger national businesses
Our long-term ambition is to build a recognizable chocolate and gifting brand serving Muslim consumers throughout the year, not only during Ramadan.
Working Arrangement
This is initially a flexible co-founder opportunity designed to fit around your existing work and other commitments. We understand that the right person may already have a full-time career or other responsibilities, so we are not expecting you to leave your current position from day one.
The role can be worked predominantly remotely within the UK, although there may occasionally be retailer meetings, trade events, supplier meetings, or other business activities requiring attendance in person.
We care more about contribution, initiative, and commercial impact than set working hours.
Equity & First-Year Remuneration
This is currently an equity-based co-founder position and does not include a guaranteed salary during the first year. We want to be completely transparent about this from the outset.
The successful candidate will receive an agreed equity stake in Rehmat Chocolate, giving them genuine ownership in the business they are helping to build. The exact equity structure will be agreed based on experience, expected contribution, level of involvement, and long-term commitment.

In addition to equity, we will offer performance-related bonuses during the first year based on agreed commercial milestones and results. These may include:
- New retail accounts secured
- Revenue generated
- Major commercial partnerships
- Distribution agreements
- Significant wholesale opportunities
- Other agreed growth milestones
The bonus structure and commercial targets will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.
What Happens After Year One?
Our intention is not for this to remain an unpaid position indefinitely. Following a successful first year, and subject to the growth and financial position of the company, we would look to discuss moving the role into a salaried position, potentially on a full-time basis.
The longer-term package could include:
- Equity
- Salary
- Performance-related bonuses
- Commission or commercial incentives
- Increased leadership responsibility
Our aim is to find someone who can initially build Rehmat Chocolate alongside us and, if successful, transition into a significant long-term leadership role within the company.
What Success Could Look Like
During the first year, success could include:
- Building a strong pipeline of retail and wholesale opportunities
- Securing new retail stockists
- Developing relationships with larger retailers
- Increasing wholesale revenue
- Building repeat business
- Expanding our private-label offering
- Creating strategic commercial partnerships
- Establishing new distribution channels
- Growing our presence within the Muslim retail and gifting market
- Creating opportunities outside the core Ramadan season
We will agree realistic objectives together rather than simply handing you arbitrary sales targets.
What We Offer
- A genuine equity stake in an early-stage consumer brand
- Flexible working around your existing commitments
- Performance-related bonuses during the first year
- Direct involvement in commercial and strategic decisions
- The opportunity to work closely with the founder
- A pathway towards a salaried and potentially full-time role
- Increasing leadership responsibility as the business grows
- The opportunity to help build one of the UK’s leading Muslim chocolate and gifting brands
