About The Role

We are seeking a Growth Consultant to create and drive client engagement, generate new business opportunities and support our sales pipeline through market intelligence, relationship-building, and opportunity identification.

We are seeking an energetic and passionate individual to lead on building our knowledge and the awareness of our brand and work across a number of markets, including government, transport, energy, and the NHS. The post holder will be targeted to work in a specific market or account to create new opportunities for TPXimpact.

Responsibilities

  • Ultimately responsible for new business growth for TPX within specific accounts or sectors.
  • Conduct market research and regular horizon scans to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in government, the NHS, built environment, transport, energy, and natural environment sectors.
  • Proactively identify future opportunities for TPXimpact to target, using industry tools and market knowledge.
  • Identify and qualify leads through proactive outreach, networking, and research and develop leads into qualified opportunities through effective relationships and stakeholder management.
  • Attend and speak at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and raise awareness of our services, to generate leads.
  • Lead on the design of thought-provoking content and examples of innovation and work with the wider team to incorporate into regular communications internally and externally.
  • Develop high-quality presentations, capability statements, and other sales materials.
  • Lead on specific bids and proposal development linked to specific accounts and ensure that new business leads convert to revenue generation.

Dimensions

  • Budget - Spend & Bid - Responsible for devolved marketing budget circa 50K plus leading on bids up to 10M.
  • Contributing to Success - TPX Annual Growth Targets - Ability to create highly qualified opportunities and convert them into delivered revenue, to enable TPX to meet annual growth targets.
  • External Interactions - Senior leader, middle leader, national, local - Able to operate at senior levels, regularly speaking to directors, deputy directors, heads of profession or function, e.g., CTOs, CDIOs, etc. Regularly secure and attend strategic meetings that deliver required outcomes. Regularly attend and present at conferences.
  • People - Senior level - There are no direct reports, however, to be successful this role requires strong influencing skills and the ability to enthuse and engage pursuit and bid teams drawn from across the business.

About You

Professional knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in successful business development and sales conversion within professional services or consultancy.
  • Deep understanding of either government or built environment, transport, energy, or natural environment sectors.
  • Significant experience of public sector procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Significant experience in a digital advisory, technology, or consultancy environment.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret market intelligence.
  • Confident networker with strong interpersonal skills, able to engage with senior stakeholders, including c-suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating presentations and sales collateral.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and subject matter experts to shape client offerings.

  • Experience of successful client engagement/delivery.
  • Technical skills across all areas of digital transformation including software engineering, data, and UCD.
  • Understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Bid writing.
