Ready to take ownership of growth at an ambitious, independent performance agency?

An established, independent brand and performance media agency is looking for a Growth Director to take ownership of new business and play a pivotal role in its next stage of growth. This is a senior, commercially focused role for someone who knows how to open doors, build relationships and win significant new business, not someone waiting for leads to land in their inbox. You’ll have the freedom to build your own pipeline, shape the agency’s approach to market and work directly with senior leadership to turn opportunities into major client wins.

The Opportunity

The agency is an established, profitable and growing independent business with an international presence and a strong reputation across performance marketing, SEO, data, technology and AI. Its client portfolio includes major household brands, alongside ambitious businesses across sectors such as SaaS, education, entertainment and multi-site consumer brands. The agency combines strategic thinking, performance media and proprietary technology to deliver measurable growth for its clients, giving its sales team a genuinely compelling proposition to take to market.

Now, the business is looking to accelerate its growth.

This is a pure new-business leadership role, with responsibility for generating and converting net-new opportunities and delivering a minimum £500k annual new business revenue target.

What you’ll be doing...

  • Build and own a high-quality new business pipeline across target brands and sectors.
  • Develop creative outbound campaigns across LinkedIn, email and CRM.
  • Identify and build relationships with senior brand, marketing and commercial decision-makers.
  • Open doors and create credible first conversations with prospective clients.
  • Lead the full pitch process from qualification and strategy through to pricing, negotiation and close.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and specialist teams to develop compelling solutions and pitches.
  • Partner with marketing on campaigns, content, thought leadership and events that generate demand.
  • Develop relationships with intermediaries and partners to uncover RFP opportunities.
  • Represent the agency at major industry events and help grow its presence within the market.
  • Help package and position evolving technology and service propositions.
  • Consistently deliver against new business revenue targets and report pipeline performance to senior leadership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who are we looking for?

You’ll ideally have 5+ years’ experience in new business within a digital, performance or media agency environment. Most importantly, you’ll have a demonstrable track record of generating your own opportunities and winning business. We’re particularly interested in people who have worked in independent or mid-sized performance agencies and understand how to compete for business against the larger networks.

You’ll be:

  • A proven door opener with a strong senior network.
  • Comfortable selling to senior marketing and commercial stakeholders.
  • Commercially sharp, intelligent and naturally curious about a prospect’s business.
  • Confident leading pitches and bringing multiple internal teams together.
  • Someone who can turn a brief into a compelling commercial story.
  • Experienced using LinkedIn, email and CRM tools to prospect effectively.
  • Comfortable discussing performance marketing, SEO, PPC, analytics and technology.
  • A natural networker who enjoys being visible in the industry.
  • Hungry to win and motivated by both commercial reward and professional impact.

You don't need to be a technical specialist, but you do need to understand the performance marketing landscape and be able to credibly sell an agency proposition built around media, data, technology and AI.

This could be a great fit if...

You're currently working in new business at an independent or mid-sized performance agency and feel ready to own a bigger commercial mandate. You have the relationships, confidence and commercial instinct to create opportunities rather than simply manage an existing book of business. You enjoy the chase, but you're equally comfortable getting into the detail of a pitch and working with specialists to create something genuinely compelling. And you want to join an agency where you'll have direct access to senior leadership and a genuine voice in how the business grows.

The package

£65,000 base salary + 3.5% commission on new business.

The role is based in London, with a hybrid working pattern combining office and home working.

You'll also receive a strong benefits package, including private healthcare, pension and flexible working, alongside a genuinely social and collaborative agency culture.

Why now?

The business is already profitable, established and growing, with an international footprint, strong client relationships and an increasingly differentiated technology proposition. Now it wants to accelerate.

This is a chance to join at a point where the opportunity is bigger than simply filling a pipeline. You'll help shape how the agency goes to market, which clients it targets, how its capabilities are positioned and ultimately how the business grows. If you're a proven agency new-business leader who wants the opportunity, and the earning potential, to make a genuine commercial impact, we'd love to hear from you.
