Our Mission

Human time and effort is the rarest thing in the universe. The fact that so many people hate what they do for work is a disaster on so many levels. How many people live quiet lives of misery? How many generational talents do we miss due to circumstance?

Dex’s mission is to close the gap between Talent & Opportunity. We believe that work—and being productive—is part of the human condition. Regardless of AI, human passion, ingenuity, and a desire to build will always drive meaningful change. We are building Dex to create a world where technology helps every individual:

  • Understand their strengths, interests, and unique abilities
  • Connect with opportunities where they can thrive

A better, happier, and more productive world is built when more people do what they love.

Right now, Dex is focused on connecting the world’s most ambitious software engineers with the companies that deserve them.

Growth Lead (CRM & Lifecycle)

About the Role

Dex already matches over 90% of its candidates to relevant roles, meaning we’re excellent at getting people through the door. But the real opportunity is what happens after the match—everything that surrounds it.

Growth Opportunity

By the end of the year, we are aiming to:

  • 10× candidate submissions
  • 5× our candidate pool

Every candidate generates behavioral signals that most other recruiters don’t have access to. However, no one right now effectively converts these signals into personalized, timely messaging that drives real impact.

This is not traditional CRM. This is a growth role deeply embedded in inbox systems and product workflows for someone who thinks in:

  • Systems and loops
  • Data & user behavior

In this role, you will:

  • Own CRM and lifecycle within the growth team, covering:
    • Activation
    • Onboarding
    • Education
    • Re-engagement
    • Across email, notifications, and in-product journeys
  • Build the stack from the ground up: tooling, segmentation, triggers, cadences, reporting, and constant experimentation
  • This is 0-to-1. There is no existing function, only data and a mandate for you to create.
  • Key ownership areas:
    • Own lifecycle workflows end-to-end:
      • Choose the best tooling
      • Design effective segmentation, triggers, and cadences to drive activation rather than just newsletter distribution
    • Sequence candidate onboarding intelligently:
      • Design journeys that take users from signup to first valuable actions fastest
      • Early signals must predict stickiness and conversion
    • Personalize journeys based on behavioral signals:
      • Dex knows more about users than almost any other recruiter
      • Every message should feel tailored, relevant, and human
    • Educate users on the product:
      • Develop communications that help candidates understand and extract value from Dex
      • Partner with marketing for consistent voice and channels
    • Reactivation as a core metric:
      • Define and implement sequences that re-engage users at optimal moments
      • Drive performance improvements measured by reactivation outcomes
    • Build the reporting layer from scratch:
      • Define what "good" looks like
      • Instrument it properly to make lifecycle data digestible for the company
  • Constant experimentation:
    • Run constant tests
    • Kill inefficient strategies quickly
    • Double down on what works
    • Maintain a clear record of learnings
  • Collaborate deeply with the team:
    • Report to the Head of Growth
    • Work alongside product and engineering teams
    • Ensure growth lives inside the product, not just the inbox

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Not just newsletter-based campaigns
  • Human-friendly, fast, and impactful

✅ Optimize candidate onboarding:

  • Move users from signup to first actions the smartest way
  • Predict long-term behavior early

✅ Turn behavior into meaningful messaging:

  • Personalization is critical

  • Realise: a better message is not always a better message—sometimes it’s a better product change
  • Push for what needs to be changed

✅ Think like a developer:

  • No-one at Dex writes "store email list in a system" (it’s always a function of a data tool)
  • We use agents to build systems faster & better
