Growth Lead - Stride
Manchester (Hybrid, in office) | Reporting directly to the CEO
Package circa £55,000 - £65,000 + equity.
Free StrideOne membership plus family and friends discount
Ready to build the growth system for a company on a mission to fix how humans age?
Stride is a preventative health membership that's rewriting the rules on longevity — and we're hiring a Growth Lead to own the e-commerce funnel - working with our agencies on media buying and lifecycle, with our organic content lead, and using your creativity to help us drive growth, referrals and retention.
About Stride
Normal health isn't good enough - tired, stressed and slowly declining shouldn't be the baseline. Stride is building a next-generation preventative health membership: a full multi-omic profile (DNA, microbiome, blood biomarkers, epigenetics, oral health), 500+ markers retested twice yearly to track direction of travel, turned into concrete action - diet, training, supplements - with a coach, dietitian or physiologist alongside each member. Elite longevity concierge, everyday price, no clinics required.
The role
What You'll Actually Own
- Finding profitable, effective funnels for acquisition, conversion and retention.
- You will do this across Meta and Google, and emerging channels like TikTok, with strong hands-on experience across those platforms. You will be AI-native, and e-commerce native. You will live and die by the latest funnel tactics.
- You will coordinate the entire funnel. That means working with our agencies on media buying and lifecycle, and it also means working across the team, including organic content, and anything else it takes to get an effective funnel working.
- You will be extraordinarily well versed in Shopify, subscription software like Skio, email platforms like Klaviyo, and analytics tools like TripleWhale. You will also be creative enough to suggest other solutions that help us drive growth, referrals and retention.
- You will be obsessed with ecommerce funnels, metrics, and designing and running tests across creative, audiences and signal.
- Ultimately, you are responsible for allowing the business to grow.
Customer and message
- Define precisely who Stride is for and which problems it solves, in language that survives the journey from ad to landing page to renewal.
- Test positioning and commercial messaging for UK and US audiences.
- Brief and direct creative from in-house and external partners - you set the standard and judge the output.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Acquisition
- Paid media strategy across Meta and Google with agency partners, building in-house capability on a timeline you set.
- Diversify the mix: affiliate, creator, podcast, partnerships, and TikTok Shop as both retail and acquisition surface.
- Own blended CAC, channel mix and payback across UK and US.
- Adapt the funnel, positioning and channel mix for the US launch, understanding the regulations around marketing health products.
Retention and lifecycle
- Own subscription retention end to end - onboarding, engagement, renewal, win-back, cancellation - with agency partners.
- Build the CRM programme in Klaviyo largely from scratch: welcome, post-purchase, win-back, referral.
- Own renewal and cancel-flow logic in Skio, where the highest-leverage retention decisions live.
- Own net churn and LTV across annual membership and supplement subscriptions.
Conversion
- Optimise site conversion across our headless Shopify build.
- Run the testing roadmap: landing pages, pricing and packaging, checkout, and one-off-to-membership migration.
- Build the reporting layer connecting spend to cohort behaviour.
How Success Is Measured
- Blended CAC and payback, cohort-adjusted; net churn on annual membership through and beyond the first renewal wave; and revenue contribution and conversion rate on your top acquisition paths.
Sound like you?
- You'll likely bring 4+ years in growth for DTC or subscription consumer brands - ideally health, nutrition or wellness, with at least one stint at a startup or scaleup.
- Real depth in either paid media or lifecycle CRM, and credible hands-on experience in the other.
- Subscription fluency as a first instinct - cohorts, churn, payback and contribution margin are levers you pull, not numbers someone hands you.
- A track record of standing something up rather than operating something inherited - a channel, a market, a programme built from nothing.
- Experience leading customer definition, positioning and messaging yourself, not executing someone else's framework.
- Commercial framing - you can turn "we have budget, where should it go" into a defensible plan within a week.
- Hands-on instincts: you build the model, design the test, look at the data yourself.
- Comfort being creative inside regulatory guardrails, treating them as a design constraint rather than a complaint.
- The ability to pitch, negotiate and hold a commercial relationship.
- Working fluency with AI tooling, and strong written communication - you'd rather send a document than book a meeting.

Bonus Points
- US market entry for a consumer health or wellness brand and familiarity with claim rules; experience through a subscription business's first meaningful renewal cohort; headless Shopify, Skio or Recharge; an affiliate or creator programme built from zero, with an existing network in health and nutrition; quiz- or diagnostic-led acquisition funnels; measurement beyond platform attribution — geo holdouts, incrementality, basic SQL.
Why Stride
- Work that matters - preventive health is where the industry is heading, and this role helps get there faster.
- Own a function, not a channel - you set priorities across acquisition and retention, make the calls, and answer for the result.
- A scope that would take another three years to reach at a larger company.
- Learn directly from a founder who's built, sold and IPO'd in this space!
- Full StrideOne membership free after probation, plus friends & family discount.
- Equity as part of your package.
- Hybrid - Manchester base, 2–3 days in office.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension with employer contribution, annual learning budget, your own kit.
A People team built for ambitious businesses
The old model for People & Talent doesn’t work for today's businesses. We've built a better one.
Traditionally, early-stage Founders had two options: handle People & Talent themselves, losing precious time they should be spending on product or go-to-market, or hire a generalist, expected to cover everything from culture to recruitment to performance. We offer a more impactful alternative: A fully flexible, fractional People & Talent team with specialist skillsets and hands-on delivery, ready to start driving impact for your business in weeks, not months.
