Growth Manager, JetBrains AI for Teams & Organizations
At JetBrains, we’re building an AI-native platform for software development that integrates developer workflows, team-level collaboration, and organizational control into a unified system. This platform will serve as the execution and governance layer for AI-driven development, designed to work across teams, products, and environments. This is a long-term strategic investment for JetBrains and a key pillar of our vision for the future of software development.
We’re looking for a Growth Manager to own the acquisition, onboarding, and activation journey of JetBrains AI for teams and organizations. This role will focus on helping users discover JetBrains AI through product surfaces, clarify its value in their workflows, and achieve meaningful product engagement as quickly as possible.
## Key Responsibilities
- Own the acquisition, onboarding, and activation journey of JetBrains AI for teams and organizations.
- Define, measure, and improve the path from relevant product entry points to meaningful product usage.
- Optimise acquisition flows across JetBrains entry points, including:
- IDEs
- Desktop products
- Plugins
- Account flows
- Contextual prompts
- Other developer-focused surfaces
- Create and improve self-service paths into JetBrains AI, such as:
- Trial starts
- Guided demos
- Sandbox experiences
- Interactive walkthroughs
- Setup flows
- Design and iterate on:
- Onboarding journeys
- Guided product education
- First-run experiences
- Contextual prompts
- Empty states
- Moments that help users discover value quickly
- Identify friction points across:
- Entry
- Signup
- Setup
- Onboarding
- Trial experiences
- First-use flows ...and turn them into clear, actionable product opportunities.
- Lead experiments aimed at improving:
- Acquisition-to-conversion
- Onboarding completion
- Trial-to-active conversion
- Activation metrics
- Early repeated usage

## Partnerships & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing department on:
- Acquisition campaigns
- Continuity from marketing touchpoints to product experience
- Life cycle flows
- Transition from awareness to tangible product adoption
- Partner with monetisation specialists on:
- Trial experiences
- Upgrade prompts
- Usage limits
- Commercial constraints
- Collaborate with design, engineering, analytics, research, and product teams to:
- Ship measurable improvements to early user journeys
- Ensure cross-departmental alignment
## Core Requirements
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Hands-on experience in:
- Onboarding, activation, and product-led growth in developer tools, SaaS, or AI products.
- Improving acquisition-to-activation funnels, product entry points, onboarding flows, or trial experiences.
- Connecting marketing touchpoints with seamless product acquisition experiences.
- Proficiency in:
- Product analytics (e.g., funnels, cohorts, segmentation)
- Qualitative insights (user behaviour analysis)
- Product experimentation (design, execution, and interpretation)
- Strong ability to:
- Translate ambiguous growth challenges into focused hypotheses, product changes, and measurable outcomes.
- Help users reach practical value quickly without manual intervention.
- Reduce friction and clarify product value through clear UX judgment.
- Collaborative mindset for cross-functional alignment with:
- Engineering
- Design
- Analytics
- Marketing
- Monetisation & research teams
- Ability to:
- Communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Align around growth priorities, funnel metrics, and experiment results.
## Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
We’ll be particularly excited if you’ve:
- Worked on AI-powered products, developer tools, IDEs, DevOps platforms, or development workflows.
- Designed acquisition, onboarding, or activation experiences for complex technical products.
- Focused on product-led growth using in-app prompts, trial starts, demos, sandboxes, or interactive walkthroughs.
- Managed product-led acquisition in B2B or prosumer segments, where individual users influence wider adoption.
- Applied:
- Behavioral analytics (e.g., cohort analysis, activation modelling)
- Experiment platforms (e.g., A/B testing, multi-armed bandits)
- Created growth strategies for organisational or team-based AI adoption.
- Deep intuition for developer audiences, understanding their needs around:
- Control
- Transparency
- Low friction
- Practical, measurable value
