Job Role

Your job is to make Smash Grid grow profitably. That means buying users who pay back, and when they don't, figuring out whether the fix is in the ad, the store page, the first session, or the in-game economy. Then you push that change through with our product and tech team.

You'll own the full loop: acquire → measure → retain → monetize → reinvest.

What We're Looking For

Must-have

  • 2–6 years of hands-on UA experience in mobile games. Hybrid-casual, casual, or PvP titles are a strong plus.
  • Proven track record managing meaningful budgets on Google App Campaigns and Meta with positive ROAS outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of an MMP and in-app event optimization.
  • Comfort with numbers: advanced spreadsheets, cohort analysis, LTV modeling.
  • At least one example of an in-game or product change you pushed that measurably improved retention or revenue.
  • Ability to work directly with developers and designers and write clear, testable specs.

Good to have

  • Experience with ad networks (AppLovin, Unity, Mintegral) and ad mediation.
  • Experience with offerwall or rewarded traffic and fraud prevention.
  • Familiarity with competitive or staking-style game economies.
  • Experience running influencer or creator campaigns.
  • Exposure to International (Tier 1 / Tier 2) markets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Not a fit if

  • Your paid media experience is only in e-commerce, D2C, or lead generation.
  • You see your job as ending at the install.

Key Task Areas

1. Paid User Acquisition

  • Own and scale campaigns on Google App Campaigns (primary) and Meta (secondary).
  • Expand into ad networks such as AppLovin, Unity, Mintegral, and TikTok as the game and data mature.
  • Manage budget allocation, geo tiering, and bidding strategy, moving from install-based to event-based to ROAS-based bidding as signal volume allows.
  • Manage offerwall and incentivized channels, including traffic quality, fraud detection, and payout optimization.

2. Measurement & Unit Economics

  • Own attribution and event setup in AppsFlyer, and decide which in-game events each network should optimize toward.
  • Build and maintain LTV and ROAS models (D0/D3/D7/D30) by channel, geo, and creative.
  • Track CPI, payback period, and cohort performance, and make clear scale, hold, or kill decisions.

3. Creative Strategy

  • Run a continuous ad creative pipeline covering video, playables, and UGC-style ads, working with designers, editors, or freelancers.
  • Set up a structured creative testing framework and track hit rates.
  • Turn winning creative insights into store assets and in-game messaging.

4. Game-Side Growth (Retention & Monetization)

    • onboarding
    • IAP pack pricing and placement
    • first-purchase and starter offers
    • rewarded ad frequency
    • staking arena economy
    • Remove Ads positioning
  • Write clear specs and A/B test plans for the product and tech team, and measure the impact of every change shipped.
  • Improve leaderboard, league, and progression systems where they drive retention and spend.

5. ASO & Store Conversion

  • Own store listings on Google Play and the App Store: icons, screenshots, videos, and copy.
  • Run store listing experiments, plus custom store listings and custom product pages matched to top-performing ad creatives.
  • Improve both organic discovery and paid-traffic conversion rates.

6. Organic, Viral & Community Growth

  • Optimize the in-game referral system and sharing loops.
  • Run influencer and nano-creator programs with measurable install and retention outcomes.
  • Track and grow organic uplift from paid spend.
