About RA

Resident Advisor has been a home for electronic music culture since 2001. Event discovery, ticketing, news and long-form editorial, artist profiles, original films, and a weekly mix series two decades deep. Around 7 million people use the web platform every month, with a wider audience across our apps and other channels. Underneath the platform sits a network of contributors and city managers across dozens of cities, which is how we stay connected to the scenes we cover rather than reporting on them from a distance. RA is 25 years old, independent, B.Corp certified and intent on being indispensable to the artists, promoters and audiences who make this culture.

The role

The Growth Marketing Lead owns RA's B2C growth engine: getting more people to discover the best electronic music events on RA and getting more of them through the door.

Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, you will own acquisition, activation, conversion and retention across RA's web, mobile and app properties. You will set the growth roadmap, run a continuous experimentation programme and build systems that compound rather than relying on one-off campaigns.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You will be expected to prioritise ruthlessly, back your decisions with data and develop the Marketing Executive who reports to you. It is not a role for someone who wants a strategy handed to them—you will define it, then execute it.

Responsibilities

Growth strategy and experimentation

  • Own the B2C growth strategy, aligning resources to the channels and initiatives with the highest demonstrated return
  • Design and run a continuous experimentation programme across channels
  • Maintain a documented backlog and a clear record of what worked, what did not and what was learned
  • Build a culture of disciplined testing, measurement and iteration

Acquisition and conversion

  • Own the acquisition and conversion funnel, from paid media, SEO, AEO and organic channels through to onboarding and first ticket purchase
  • Manage the paid media budget and freelance relationships
  • Grow RA Guide usage and drive adoption of our consumer app
  • Develop creative, low-cost growth strategies that fit RA's culture
  • Identify funnel opportunities, size their potential impact and turn insights into prioritised action

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Develop onboarding, reactivation and repeat-purchase journeys
  • Build segmentation and personalisation that reflect how people use RA
  • Improve repeat purchase rates among the users who matter most

Who We Are Looking For

  • Four or more years' experience in growth or digital marketing, with a track record of hitting growth targets in a consumer business and the ability to explain specifically what you did, what it moved and how you knew
  • Deep, hands-on experience in at least three of the following: paid social and search, CRM and lifecycle, SEO, app push and conversion-rate optimisation, alongside an appetite to build capability in the rest
  • Genuine analytical fluency: you can build a funnel view, size an opportunity, judge whether a result is real and defend a decision with data
  • Confidence using tools such as Mixpanel, Iterable and GA4

  • Strong commercial instinct—you understand that engagement metrics only matter when they contribute to revenue
  • Comfort owning both strategy and execution in a lean team
  • Experience managing or developing others, with a clear and supportive leadership style
  • A genuine interest in electronic music and its culture. You do not need to be a DJ, but you should understand the community we serve and why credibility with it matters

  • Regular company-wide Q&As with senior leadership, along with ongoing virtual educational training sessions for all staff
  • A transparent internal company culture committed to diversity, equity and inclusion (ra.co/about/diversity)
  • Active involvement in community projects within the electronic music community (ra.co/about/community)

More About RA

We are independent and we intend to stay that way. 25 years in, RA answers to the culture it came from rather than to outside stakeholders. That is what enables us to make decisions on a longer term basis.

Our staff, contributors and international teams are not observers. They are part of the scenes we cover, and that is what we hire for. Craft first, and then a genuine stake in this music rather than just a job in it.

RA has been B Corp certified since 2024, which holds us to standards on social and environmental impact we would want to meet regardless of the badge.

We especially welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, abilities, ethnicities, experiences, gender identities, and sexual orientations.

Our values

  • Electronic music is art
  • We celebrate the progressive values that underpin electronic music
  • We advocate for a more inclusive and equitable electronic music community
  • We honour the past, present and future of electronic music
  • We use innovation to empower the community
  • We choose honesty over gain and purpose over profit
  • We're always front left
