A day in the life

As Growth Marketing Manager, you own our paid channels that drive direct acquisition — and just as importantly, you own the data that tells us whether they're working. You're a broad marketer who builds a multi-channel strategy that maximises full-funnel performance, but you're equally at home in a spreadsheet, pulling apart a data set that doesn't quite add up until you understand why.

You will be responsible for hitting our growth ambitions, with a significant paid media budget at your disposal, overseeing short and long terms. You oversee short-term activation and long-term growth media channels – from paid search and paid social to TV, radio and print – ensuring the mix, flighting and targeting of each support our new-business goals. You set long-term strategy and make just-in-time optimisations, always staying close to the commercial goals of the business. But you don't wait for a polished dashboard to tell you what's happening — you're comfortable diving into Excel or our data warehouse, building your own view when you need to, and querying a number that looks wrong rather than taking it at face value.

You partner closely with the Data Team, but you're not reliant on them for every answer. You bring a genuine point of view to measurement, challenge assumptions constructively, and are a confident, credible voice with stakeholders across the business — Finance, Product, and senior leadership included — not just with your agencies.

You're comfortable managing and mentoring your team, building a culture where data-led rigour and cross-functional collaboration are the standard, not the exception.

Your responsibilities

  • Own media planning to achieve new customer growth KPI’s and evolve the full-funnel paid marketing strategy across short-term performance and long-term demand-creation channels driving efficient customer acquisition and sustainable revenue growth.
  • Optimise allocation of the multi-million-pound marketing budget, using CPA, funnel and commercial data — not just platform-level reporting — to guide investment and channel-mix decisions.
  • Get hands-on with the numbers yourself: build your own analysis in Excel and our data warehouse, challenge what a dashboard is telling you, and spot when something doesn't look right before it reaches a stakeholder.
  • Partner with the Data Team and other functions (Finance, Product, CX) to build and continuously improve a measurement and reporting framework the wider business can trust and act on.
  • Test and scale new acquisition channels to diversify the channel mix and reduce reliance on the biggest drivers, ensuring all activity complies with FCA and ASA requirements.
  • Lead integrated full-funnel campaigns across Sales Activation and Brand Building channels, keeping messaging and execution consistent and delivered on time.
  • Manage agency and partner relationships, building sharp briefs and holding them to a high standard of delivery and pace.
  • Directly manage and develop three Performance Marketing Leads, and act as a confident, credible voice for Growth Marketing with stakeholders across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your skills and experience

Essential

  • Track record of leading growth marketing, with genuine ownership of budget and channel strategy.
  • Comfortable working directly with data: fluent in Excel, confident pulling apart large or messy data sets to find the story, and happy interrogating a dashboard or querying a number that looks wrong rather than taking it at face value.
  • Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing metrics (CPA, ROAS, conversion, funnel drop-off) and how to diagnose what's driving under- or overperformance.
  • Experience managing significant paid budgets across brand and performance channels, including paid search, paid social and offline media.
  • Confident building relationships and influencing stakeholders beyond the immediate team — Data, Finance, Product or senior leadership — and comfortable bringing evidence to those conversations in our trading sessions.
  • Excellent at managing agencies, from brief through to execution.
  • Understanding of audience segmentation and lifecycle targeting to build effective mid- and lower-funnel strategies.
  • Experience managing and coaching a small team.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services or another regulated consumer sector.

Nice to have

  • Experience building or specifying your own dashboards or data models (e.g. SQL, Looker or similar) beyond Excel.
  • Practical experience using AI tools or models to speed up analysis, testing or day-to-day marketing processes, and an interest in automating repetitive work rather than doing it by hand each time.

What does success look like?

  • Marketing-driven sales and revenue growth is visibly increasing, with a clear line of sight from channel investment to commercial outcome.
  • CPA and channel efficiency are maintained or improved even as budget and channel mix evolve.
  • You've built or strengthened a measurement and reporting framework that stakeholders trust and use without needing you to explain every number.
  • You're a known, credible source of data-led challenge in the business — people bring you a number to sense-check, not just the Data Team.
  • At least one new acquisition channel has been tested and, where it works, scaled into the mix.
  • Your Performance Marketing Leads are developing and delivering clearly against their objectives.

About ManyPets

We exist to make the world a better place for pets and their parents.

ManyPets is one of the UK's leading pet insurance businesses. Since 2017, we've been rethinking pet insurance around the needs of pet parents: people who see their pets as part of the family and want to give them the best life they can. We're here to champion them, making insurance easier to choose and use, giving them more confidence and choice when it comes to their pet's care, and helping them enjoy more of life together.

Today, we insure around 380,000 pets and we're growing, with more than £230m in annual premiums. We're rated Excellent on Trustpilot, with more than 26,000 five-star reviews, reflecting the trust pet parents place in us and our focus on giving them a great experience when it matters.

Technology is a big part of how we're building a better experience. We've invested for years in our own technology, data and AI capabilities, helping us understand risk better, innovate faster and make things simpler for customers. Millie, our AI-powered claims assistant, is involved in processing every claim and more than half of our claims are now fully automated. Around half are settled within 24 hours, meaning less waiting and less friction for pet parents at what can be stressful time.

And we're not standing still. Our vision is to be number one: the number one business in our category, the number one brand for customers and the number one place to work for top talent.

That means building a business where ambitious people can do meaningful work, develop their careers and have a genuine impact on what comes next. Whether we're improving our insurance products, using AI to transform the customer experience or finding new ways to support pet parents throughout their pet care journey, we want our people to help define tomorrow.

Our values

  • Show you care: Start with kindness, listen to understand and go the extra mile.
  • Do the right thing: Be accountable, explain well and find solutions.
  • Work as one: Prioritise clearly, feed back honestly and win as a team.
  • Define tomorrow: Be brave and adapt, rethink to innovate and make a lasting impact.

If you want to do some of the best work of your career while helping us build the future of pet insurance, we'd love to hear from you.
