Create Engage is a growth partner for ambitious boutique consultancies. We are not a traditional marketing agency. We are an outsourced marketing team, embedded in our clients' businesses, building the marketing and pipeline structures that drive their commercial growth.
We do this through our Growth Operating System (Growth OS), a joined-up framework across Growth Strategy, Demand Engine, Pipeline Management and Success Infrastructure that turns marketing into predictable, measurable momentum for our clients.
We are a small and growing team, supported by a specialist part-time and freelance creative bench. We are at £1m revenue with a goal to reach £5m by 2030, and this hire is central to getting there.
Role
This role owns the day-to-day marketing for two to three founder-led consultancies, typically businesses of 20 to 200 people, running the plan, executing the campaigns, advising the client, and bringing recommendations rather than waiting to be asked. You will work in a pod alongside an Account Director, who supports, coaches and guides you.
It is a genuinely blended role: part client strategy and relationship management, part hands-on content. Expect roughly 30% of your time hands-on with content, whether that is planning it, briefing it, creating it or reviewing it, alongside the client relationship, the plan, and the reporting rhythm that sits underneath it all.
Responsibilities
- Own the client relationship. Set the agenda for your meetings, bring the analysis, and lead the conversation rather than administer it.
- Build and run a busy plan of multiple concurrent campaigns and weekly content, combining creative flair with the structure to keep it all on track.
- Create and direct content. Create and build some of it yourself, brief and review the rest, and choose whichever route is most effective and best for the client.
- Own the lead follow-up process. Put the process and the communications in place for the client's team, run the lead review meeting, and keep every lead moving through their tracker and CRM.
- Run the reporting rhythm: Weekly Tactical Sync, Monthly Performance and Lead Pulse Check, and Quarterly Marketing Review. Every one of those is a chance to tell the client something they did not already know.
- Bring a point of view to every client meeting. Spot what is not working before the client does, and challenge their instincts when they are pulling in the wrong direction.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Requirements
- Agency-side background, ideally B2B or professional services. You are a Senior Account Manager or equivalent currently, with a minimum of 4 years' experience overall and at least half of that in agency roles like this one.
- Comfortable holding the confidence of a founder or CEO on day-to-day work, without needing anyone else in the room. Our industry is largely male-dominated, and our client base reflects that. Most of your senior stakeholders will be men, though not all, and you will not be liaising with a client-side stakeholder at a comparable marketing level to your own.
- Genuinely interested in business. You want to understand how a client's business makes money, not just their marketing, and you can speak to it with real confidence.
- Structured and organised, with a lot of small moving parts to manage and no tolerance for letting any of them slip.
- Creates and edits to a standard that needs one round of amends, not five, and briefs clearly enough to get the right thing back first time.
- Focused on real leads and conversations as the true measure of success, not opens, engagement or awards.
- Comfortable in a small team. You pull your weight, you help without waiting to be asked, and you lift the people around you.
Results
- Your clients stay with us and are excited about what comes next.
- Client health holds at 8 to 9 out of 10 across your portfolio, with risk flagged early rather than discovered late.
- Your clients hit their agreed quarterly and annual targets for qualified leads and conversations.
- Every lead is reviewed within 24 hours, and has a named owner and a next action within 7 days.
- Work reaches your Account Director or your client ready first time, with one round of amends the standard rather than the exception.
