- Obsessively High Standards, quality is not a nice-to-have
- Emotionally Intense, we are engaged, honest, and present
- Ridiculously Clear, expectations, feedback, and goals are transparent
Job Description
This is not a maintenance role. You're one of the first two people in the UK, and your job is to go out, open doors, close deals, and turn your network into real, paying clients while making sure everything you sell actually runs well once it's live.
If you already have two or three people in your network who'd be genuinely excited to hear from you about something like this, you're exactly who we're looking for.
What You'll Do
Growth & Sales
- Own new business generation for heycater! London: prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close new B2B clients
- Build and work a real pipeline, you track it, you own it, you're accountable for it
- Turn your existing network in London catering and corporate events into signed business, not just warm conversations
- Represent heycater! at industry events and in direct outreach, you're often the first heycater! person a prospect ever meets
- Shape the London growth strategy with the Head of UK, and push for the moves that actually grow revenue

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Client & Account Growth
- Own B2B client relationships end-to-end, with a clear eye on upsell and expansion revenue, not just retention
- Re-engage lapsed accounts and turn one-off orders into repeat business
- Translate client needs into operational reality, working closely with our partner network
And Operations
- Onboard and manage London catering/event partners so every order runs smoothly end-to-end
- Be the first point of contact when issues need solving fast
- Document workflows as we scale, and fix what's broken before it slows growth down
Qualifications
Required
- A hunter mentality, you're energized by prospecting, pitching, and closing, not just managing what's already there
- 2-3 years of experience in the food, catering, or events industry in London
- A real network in London catering and corporate events, and a track record of actually converting relationships into business
- Comfortable owning a revenue number and being measured against it
- Highly autonomous: comfortable being one of two people in a brand-new market, without a full support structure around you
- Strong operational instincts: you can manage complexity and keep delivery quality high while you're also out selling
- Excellent communicator in writing, on calls, and in person
- Based in London or willing to be on-site regularly
- Native or fluent English
