Growth Specialist — Paid Media & Creative Strategy
Barbell Marketing | Full-time, Remote
About us
Barbell Marketing is a fitness-focused performance marketing agency based in Dubai. We help fitness brands become the dominant name in their niche.
We've worked with some of the biggest names in the industry — Ghost Lifestyle, Gymshark, Rep Fitness — alongside a roster of 7 and 8-figure challenger brands scaling fast.
We're small, senior, and allergic to bureaucracy. Everyone here owns outcomes, not tasks.
The role
We're looking for one person who can do two jobs that most agencies split across two people badly.
Half of this role is running ad accounts at a high level across Meta, Google, and TikTok. Structuring, scaling, diagnosing, and knowing the difference between a bad week and a broken account.
The other half is creative strategy: researching the market, mining the audience, and generating the angles and concepts that get tested in the account. The ads are the growth lever. The account is just where they get scored.
What you'll own
Paid media
- Full ownership of client ad accounts across Meta, Google, and TikTok
- Account structure, budget allocation, bidding, and scaling decisions
- Daily performance monitoring and in-account optimisation
- Building and running structured test plans (creative, audience, offer, landing page)
- Reporting on ROAS, CAC, MER, and contribution margin — and explaining what the numbers actually mean
- Forecasting and pacing against client growth targets
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Creative strategy
- Deep research: customer reviews, community forums, competitor ads, sales calls, brand data
- Turning that research into a bank of tested angles, hooks, and messaging territories
- Writing creative briefs that a designer, editor, or UGC creator can execute without hand-holding
- Sourcing and directing creators and editors
- Running a structured creative testing pipeline and identifying winners fast
- Iterating on winners to extend their lifespan
Who this is for
You're a scientist in the ad account. You form a hypothesis, isolate a variable, respect statistical significance, and don't kill a campaign because you had a bad Tuesday.
You know the difference between correlation and causation and you can defend a decision with data.
You're a creative outside of it. You understand why a hook works.
You can read 400 product reviews and come out with three angles nobody in the category is running.
You have taste, and you can explain it.
You care about the business outcome, not the platform metric. A 6 ROAS that isn't profitable is a failure.
You move fast, work autonomously, and don't need to be chased.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing paid social and search for e-commerce or D2C brands
- Direct experience scaling accounts at meaningful spend (£/$50k+ per month as min)
- Demonstrable ownership of creative strategy, not just briefing off a template
- Fluency in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads Manager, and Shopify analytics
- Strong written English and the ability to communicate clearly with clients
- Comfortable working remotely across time zones with a Dubai-based team (nothing unreasonable of course)

How to apply
Don't send a generic CV.
Send us:
- A short note on one ad account you scaled — where it started, where it got to, and what you actually changed
- One creative angle you tested for a brand that was outside the box, and the research that led you to it.
We read every application that follows those two steps. We don't read the ones that don't.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
