The company produces a wide range of GRP solutions, including package pump stations, attenuation chambers, building products, and enclosures. Role Description

The GRP Laminator is a full-time, on-site role based at our facility in Cramlington. The role involves preparing moulds, cutting and laying glass fibre materials, mixing and applying resins and catalysts, and laminating to specified thicknesses and finishes. Day-to-day tasks include:

The GRP Laminator is also responsible for:

  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area
  • Handling materials and tools correctly
  • Following all health and safety procedures
  • Collaboration with supervisors and colleagues to meet production schedules and resolve manufacturing issues

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in GRP laminating, composite manufacturing, or a similar hands-on production role.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, work instructions, and job specifications.
  • Practical skills in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, trimming, and finishing composite materials.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices, including safe handling of resins, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Good attention to detail and quality, with the ability to inspect work and correct defects.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to different GRP products and processes.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle materials, and perform manual tasks safely.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment and relevant vocational training are beneficial.
