About Sumary

At Sumary, we are rebuilding finance from first principles.

We are an AI-native fintech backed by byFounders, Partech and Tenity in the largest fintech pre-seed round ever raised in Denmark, on a mission to eliminate broken financial workflows and define the future of autonomous finance.

We sit on top of the ledgers accounting firms already use (Xero, QuickBooks, Business Central) and run the work that eats their month: every line of every transaction checked against the firm's rules, reconciliations prepared from source, anomalies flagged, variances explained. The firm keeps the judgment. We do everything underneath it.

We are a small team across Copenhagen and London.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the very beginning: to help build a new category of financial infrastructure, work hands-on with leading accounting firms, and shape how finance teams across Europe will work in the coming decade.

Why Sumary

The market. Every company in the world closes its books, every month. Accounting is one of the largest professional services markets there is, and almost none of the work has been automated.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The customers. We work with some of the largest accounting firms in the Nordics and the UK, on their live client books.

The team. Founders and engineers from McKinsey, Uber, Encord and Pleo, alongside ML PhDs and qualified accountants.

The backing. byFounders, Partech and Tenity, in the largest fintech pre-seed round ever raised in Denmark.

The role

Germany is our next market, and this role owns it end to end.

You will be the first person we put on the ground there: choosing who we go after, opening the conversations yourself, and carrying deals from first call to signature. A founder will be next to you on the largest ones and the whole company is behind you on the rest, but the market is yours.

You will be based in London with the rest of the commercial team, and on the ground in Germany often.

  • Build the target list, from the largest firms down to the practices worth winning early
  • Run the outbound yourself: calls, email, LinkedIn, events. First meetings are your job, not someone else's
  • Take deals from first call through pilot to signed contract, with a founder alongside you on the big ones
  • Translate what works in the Nordics and the UK into something that lands in German, and tell us what is different
  • Build the playbook the next hires in the market will run

You might be a good fit if

  • You are a native or fluent German speaker, already living in London
  • You come from GTM at an early-stage VC-backed company, or from consulting (MBB), investment banking, venture capital, or fintech, and you want to sell
  • You are early in a steep career, hungry, and improve visibly month over month
  • You are comfortable being the only person accountable for a country

Come help define and build the future of finance.
