Role Description
The GTR UK Account Manager is responsible for delivering targeted sell-in, market-share and margin growth across the UK Global Travel Retail channel in line with annual budgets. The role implements agreed commercial terms and activation plans while protecting profitable growth for the brand.
The Account Manager builds strong customer partnerships through regular field visits, store-level execution, and sales-team training. Success requires a sound understanding of the GTR market and its commercial dynamics, together with the initiative to work proactively within an agile SME team.
- Responsible for the UK GTR retail-account portfolio, including three key accounts.
- Manage the full remit of regional activation plans, including Brand Ambassadors and Promoters, in liaison with the Marketing team.
- Work on a hybrid basis, with approximately 50% field travel, flexibility around working times and at least one visit per month to the Gilberdyke Head Office.

Requirements
Experience and knowledge
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a commercial or comparable role within a multinational FMCG or luxury company operating in Global Travel Retail.
- Understanding of the GTR market, its business dynamics, and premium-brand management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Principle Accountabilities
Commercial performance
- Deliver channel sell-in, market-share, and margin-growth targets in line with the annual budget.
- Develop new channel growth through new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) opportunities.
- Operate within all approved internal budgets and agreed commercial conditions.

Account and channel management
- Build strong, productive relationships with buyers, shop-floor teams, and back-office personnel.
- Identify and seize point-of-sale opportunities while anticipating commercial and operational challenges.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently to protect customer service and sales performance.
Retail execution and activation
- Ensure successful implementation of animation plans and promotional activities across the region.
- Deliver all required in-store customer support and merchandising execution.
- Manage Brand Ambassadors, Promoters, and hostesses supporting regional activity.
- Train store sales staff to strengthen product knowledge, brand advocacy, and selling capability.
Planning, reporting, and operations
- Own product forecasting and manage out-of-stock risks, product changes, and related customer communication.
- Complete accurate monthly reports and attend required business and customer meetings.
- Coordinate effectively with Customer Service, Finance, Training, Supply Chain/Quality, and Marketing to deliver account plans.
