ICP has partnered with a leading global business operating across live production, broadcast and media technology to appoint an experienced Guarantee Vision Engineer.
This is a senior technical role for someone who is comfortable taking full ownership of complex vision systems across major live broadcasts. You’ll be responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of outside broadcast and flypack systems, working across both traditional SDI and modern IP-based production environments.
You’ll act as a key technical authority on site, ensuring systems are properly engineered, tested and ready for live production, while providing confident technical leadership when it matters most.
The Role
As a Guarantee Vision Engineer, you will:
- Take technical ownership of vision systems across OB trucks and flypack productions, from preparation through to live delivery.
- Design, configure, test and validate complex broadcast systems ahead of live productions.
- Engineer and support cameras, CCUs, vision mixers, routers, multiviewers, monitoring and tally systems.
- Work extensively across SMPTE ST 2110, hybrid SDI/IP and networked production environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot broadcast network infrastructure, including PTP, multicast, redundancy and network switching.
- Support broadcast control, orchestration and monitoring systems.
- Lead the integration of vision systems with replay, audio, communications and wider production technology.
- Operate as the senior technical point of contact for vision systems during live productions.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults quickly within high-pressure live environments.
- Work closely with production teams, project managers, clients and fellow engineers.
- Support and mentor other engineers while contributing to improvements in engineering workflows and system design.

- Experience operating at Guarantee Vision Engineer level within outside broadcast or live production.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110 and IP-based broadcast production.
- A strong understanding of broadcast networking, including PTP and multicast.
- Experience configuring and supporting broadcast network switches.
- Strong knowledge of traditional SDI systems and hybrid SDI/IP workflows.
- Experience with complex vision chains and broadcast system integration.
- Knowledge of broadcast control and monitoring systems.
- Advanced fault-finding experience within live, time-critical production environments.
- The ability to take ownership of a system or production rather than simply operating one part of it.
- Strong planning, documentation and organisational skills.
