On&On is a Bristol-based, student-led events company specializing in high-energy house music experiences for the next generation of UK nightlife. The team curates both intimate club nights and large-scale student events that showcase emerging DJs, quality sound, and immersive production. Each event is designed to deliver strong line-ups, thoughtful production details, and unmatched energy on the dance floor. On&On focuses on building a community-driven atmosphere where guests feel welcome, connected, and excited to return for future events.
Role Description
As a Guest Engagement Host at On&On Bristol, you will be a frontline presence welcoming guests, managing entry queues, and guiding attendees throughout the venue. You will provide friendly, informed assistance on event schedules, facilities, and offerings, ensuring guests feel safe, comfortable, and included at all times. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting bar and food service teams, promoting event features and upcoming nights, handling basic guest inquiries, and escalating any issues to the appropriate team members. You will also help maintain a clean and organized guest environment, assist with crowd flow during peak times, and contribute to the overall atmosphere by engaging positively with guests. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bristol, working primarily during evenings and event days.

- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and active listening, to engage confidently with diverse guests.
- Customer Service experience, with the ability to handle inquiries, manage complaints calmly, and deliver a welcoming guest experience.
- Training experience or readiness to learn venue procedures and safety protocols, and to share guidance with new team members when required.
- Basic Food & Beverage knowledge, including understanding of bar or hospitality environments and safe handling practices.
- Sales awareness, with the ability to promote event features, upsell offerings, and encourage ticket or merchandise sales in a respectful manner.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, manage busy environments, and remain composed during high-energy events.
- Collaborative mindset and reliability, with a commitment to teamwork, punctuality, and following health and safety guidelines.
- Previous experience in nightlife, hospitality, or events is beneficial but not essential; a genuine interest in house music and student culture is an advantage.
