Something exciting is happening at Battersea Power Station’s Chimney Lift, join our team as we relaunch the attraction with a brand-new interactive journey and unforgettable views of London’s skyline. As a Guest Experience host at Chimney Lift, you’ll be part of the Experience team, playing a key role in keeping energy, storytelling, and history to life for every visitor. You’ll deliver engaging stories, guide guests through the attraction, and share fascinating insights about Battersea Power Station. You’ll ensure the safe, smooth flow of people through each space while creating memorable, story-led moments at every stage of the journey. This role requires energetic performance, genuine interest in history, and a passion for connecting with people.
We’re looking for people who are:
- Friendly, welcoming, and confident in engaging with guests
- Safety-conscious, with a focus on smooth and efficient operations
- Comfortable working on your feet throughout your shift
- Team players with a proactive and positive attitude
This is a fast-paced role where you’ll help deliver outstanding service while keeping safety and guest experience at the heart of everything you do.

Responsibilities:

Deliver Memorable Guest Interactions:
- Provide warm, confident introductions to The Chimney Lift.
- Share stories, facts, and cultural context about Battersea Power Station in a natural, engaging way.
- Guide guests through interactive gallery spaces, adapting your approach for different audiences.

Support Guest Flow & Safety:
- Work with the wider team to keep guest movement flowing efficiently through each stage of the experience.
- Maintain awareness of timings, capacity, and health & safety considerations.
- Stay calm and reassuring during busy periods, delays, or operational changes.

Bring the Experience to Life:
- Lead short talks or informal presentations with enthusiasm and energy
- Spark curiosity through dynamic storytelling and guest interaction.
- Encourage participation while remaining attentive to the overall guest journey.

Collaborate & Contribute:
- Share guest feedback, ideas, and best practices with the wider Guest Experience and Operations teams.
- Support events, media visits, private tours, and special activations.
- Contribute to a culture of creativity, safety, and continual improvement.

- Maintain Presentation Standards:
- Keep gallery and presentation spaces tidy, stocked, and ready for interaction.
- Follow opening, closing, and presentation checklists.
Qualifications:
- A friendly, confident approach with excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable engaging both individuals and groups with energy and clarity.
- A genuine interest in history, storytelling, or cultural interpretation.
- Strong awareness of guest movement, timing, and safety.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to share feedback and ideas.
- Weekend and flexible availability required.
- Previous experience in visitor engagement, education, theatre, or live events.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
