Job Description
We're looking for a Guest Service Assistant - F&B to join our team in Dartford, United Kingdom. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our food and beverage operation, delivering exceptional service to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your ability to connect with guests, anticipate their needs, and resolve issues with a positive attitude will directly contribute to their experience.
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, beverages, and dining options
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using point-of-sale (POS) systems and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff
- Deliver orders promptly and ensure guest satisfaction with each interaction
- Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the dining area
- Address guest concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, working toward satisfactory resolutions
- Assist with special requests and customize orders to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions
- Maintain awareness of current promotions, specials, and menu changes to communicate effectively with guests
- Support team members during peak service times to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols consistently
- Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration and support of colleagues

Qualifications
- Proven experience in a guest-facing or hospitality role, preferably in food and beverage service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds
- Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience with restaurant management software or reservation systems
