Job Description

BaxterStorey is seeking a friendly and efficient Hospitality Assistant to join our team in London, United Kingdom. As a Hospitality Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in our food service operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in admin, reception, and event bookings
  • Greet and assist customers in a warm and welcoming manner
  • Take and process food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
  • Serve meals and refreshments to customers, ensuring presentation meets our high standards
  • Handle cash and card transactions, maintaining accurate records
  • Clean and sanitise dining areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils
  • Restock supplies and assist in inventory management
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Respond promptly to customer queries and concerns, escalating issues when necessary
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down for events or functions as required

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and supportive demeanour
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not essential
  • Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality service and creating positive customer experiences
