Guest Services Assistant / Receptionist

At Rick Stein Restaurants, we’re all about great food, genuine hospitality and creating memorable experiences for every guest. We’re now looking for a warm, friendly and enthusiastic Guest Services Assistant / Receptionist to join our Guest Services team in Padstow.

Based at the restaurant reception at our iconic Seafood Restaurant, you’ll help look after our hotel bedrooms across Padstow and make sure every guest receives a warm welcome and a brilliant stay.

This is a flexible role.

We see ourselves as being in the “cheering up industry” – making people smile through great food, drink and experiences. If you love looking after people and enjoy being part of a friendly team, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Giving all our hotel and restaurant guests a warm welcome and friendly goodbye
  • Helping to make sure our residents have the best stay possible
  • Assisting with hosting in our Seafood Restaurant
  • Helping guests with their luggage and parking
  • Dealing with guest enquiries and restaurant bookings
  • Being on hand to answer questions and help guests make the most of their time with us
  • Working closely with the wider Guest Services, restaurant and hotel teams to make sure everything runs smoothly

What we’re looking for

  • A warm, friendly and welcoming personality
  • Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants or customer service is helpful, but we’re more interested in your attitude and approach
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with guests
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys looking after people and making them feel welcome
  • A calm, helpful and positive approach, even when things get busy
  • A hands-on team player who is happy to get stuck in wherever needed
  • A genuine interest in great food, drink and hospitality

The Seafood Restaurant was the first restaurant opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975. The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is famous for establishing an international reputation for the very freshest fish and shellfish, often landed on our doorstep. In the centre of the restaurant is a Seafood Bar where guests can enjoy watching chefs assembling platters of oysters, langoustines and sashimi.
