GUIDANCE LEADER – CAVENDISH SCHOOL – SECONDARY PHASE

Permanent contract - 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Term Time only (incl INSET days) plus 1 extra week in the school holidays

Single Status Grade 6 Points 14 - 16

Salary Range: £27,709 - £28,608 pro rata

Actual Pay: £24,552 - £25,348

Start date: As soon as possible

Closing date: 9am Friday 16 October 2026

Interview date: Monday 19 October 2026

We are looking to appoint a Guidance Leader in the Secondary Phase of our All-through school.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, committed professional who has a positive attitude to ensure the effectiveness and impact of the Pastoral Team.

Main duties include:

  • Attached as a guidance leader for a year group to support the Head of Year
  • Assisting the designated safeguarding lead (secondary phase)
  • Providing excellent team leader skills to manage a team
  • Demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills required for working with pupils, staff, parents and external agencies
  • Have the ability to engage and understand the needs of young people within the school
