Guidewire Test & Delivery Lead – Senior Manager
About this role
We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Test & Delivery Lead to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex Guidewire programmes across the insurance lifecycle. This role combines end-to-end testing leadership with broader delivery oversight, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to ensure high-quality, predictable outcomes.
You will be responsible for defining and executing the testing strategy, while also contributing to overall programme delivery, governance, and risk management across Guidewire implementations.
What your days will look like
Testing Leadership
- Own and drive the end-to-end testing strategy, including:
- Functional, integration, User Acceptance (UAT), non-functional, and regression testing
- Lead test planning, design, execution, defect management, and reporting across multiple delivery phases
- Ensure alignment of testing activities with programme milestones, delivery plans, and release schedules
- Establish and maintain quality standards, test governance, and entry/exit criteria
- Oversee test environments, data readiness, and defect triage with delivery and technical leads
- Manage onshore and offshore testing teams, including test leads, manual testers, and automation resources
Delivery & Programme Oversight
- Act as a senior delivery lead within the Guidewire programme, supporting predictable and high-quality outcomes
- Work closely with programme, product, and technical leads to:
- Identify delivery risks early and define mitigation strategies
- Contribute to delivery planning, dependency management, and cross-workstream coordination
- Provide clear, confidence-building status reporting to senior stakeholders and leadership
- Support:
- Mobilisation
- Go-live readiness
- Post-deployment stabilisation activities

Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Engage with business stakeholders to align testing and delivery priorities with business outcomes
- Act as a key interface with Guidewire and other vendors, ensuring:
- Responsibilities and support boundaries are clearly defined
- Build trusted relationships with client teams through:
- Clarity, transparency, and delivery judgement
Continuous Improvement
- Drive improvements in:
- Testing processes
- Tooling
- Automation coverage
- Delivery ways of working
- Embed a quality-led mindset across the broader delivery team
- Support coaching and development of testing and delivery team members
Is this role for you?
Requirements:
- Strong experience leading testing and quality assurance on large-scale Guidewire implementations
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- Guidewire ClaimCenter
- PolicyCenter
- BillingCenter
- Experience delivering complex insurance transformations in:
- Personal, Commercial, or Specialty Lines
- Proven ability to manage the end-to-end testing lifecycle within:
- Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models
- Experience working with:
- Onshore and offshore teams
- Third-party vendors
- Strong understanding of:
- Delivery risk management
- Governance
- Quality Management within large programmes
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
