About the Role
The Guidewire Technical Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation, configuration, and optimisation of Guidewire solutions within an organisation.
The role brings deep expertise in Guidewire modules (such as PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter), facilitates requirements gathering, and leads technical design and delivery. You’ll ensure solution capabilities meet customer outcomes, align with Guidewire standards and best practices, and monitor upcoming Guidewire ski releases to inform project planning.
This Technical and leadership role involves:
- Mentoring collaterals
- Collaborating with stakeholders/customers
- Delivering scalable, high-quality insurance applications
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business users, project managers, and technical teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Ensure alignment across the project lifecycle and help articulate requirements effectively.

Solution Design
- Lead the technical design of Guidewire solutions, ensuring configurations meet business objectives and industry best practices.
- Coordinate across multiple workstreams to create robust, end-to-end designs.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Support business analysis teams with configuration vs. customisation decisions.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements for Guidewire implementations.
Configuration Oversight
- Oversee Guidewire module configurations in partnership with technical teams to ensure requirements alignment.
Technical Problem-Solving
- Serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues.
- Resolve challenges via collaborative troubleshooting and cross-team coordination.
Documentation
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, process flows, and user guides.
Who You Are: Required Skills & Background
You’ll succeed in this role if you have: ✔ Extensive experience in Guidewire implementations (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter). ✔ A deep understanding of insurance industry processes and terminology—especially the ability to bridge business needs and technical solutions. ✔ Proven skills in stakeholder management and Agile/Waterfall project methodologies. ✔ Exceptional quick problem-solving, attention to detail, and leadership experience in guiding technical analysts. ✔ A background in business process re-engineering or change management, with adaptability in fast-paced environments.
