Role Description

The Gujarati Tutor role at Tutors Today is a remote, contract position focused on delivering engaging, learner-centered Gujarati lessons to students of varying ages and proficiency levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Additional tasks may involve:

  • Preparing learning materials
  • Maintaining clear communication with students and, where applicable, caregivers
  • Updating lesson plans based on ongoing performance and goals

Qualifications

  • Strong command of Gujarati, with the ability to teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening to beginner and intermediate learners.
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in language instruction, with skill in planning lessons and adapting materials to individual needs.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to explain concepts in accessible, age-appropriate ways.
  • Comfort using online teaching platforms, video conferencing tools, and digital resources to deliver remote lessons.
  • Reliability in managing a contract schedule, including punctuality, timely responses, and consistent lesson delivery.
  • Patience, cultural sensitivity, and a supportive approach that encourages student confidence and participation.
  • Relevant academic background in languages, education, or a related field is beneficial, though strong practical experience will also be considered.
  • Prior experience preparing students for exams or structured assessments in language subjects is an advantage.
