3t is currently looking to recruit 2x GWO Instructors in North Shields, England.

This role is contracted at 40 hours per week. The standard working pattern will be 7.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
The Opportunity
3t Training Services are seeking to appoint a GWO instructor to work out of our North Shields training facility. The purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality, approved training across the GWO programme range. The successful candidate will be someone currently delivering GWO or safety critical training such as working at height, fire awareness, manual handling and first aid. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about delivering training across safety-critical sectors, ensuring the safety of personnel working a range of challenging scenarios posed in the wind sector. Candidates without direct knowledge of GWO will be considered as full upskilling can be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- To deliver courses as required in line with 3t and accrediting body requirements
- To support delegates/customers during course delivery as appropriate
- To obtain positive feedback following course completion in line with KPIs set within personal development plan
- To participate in standardisation and continuing professional development events as required
- To provide support to trainee and existing Instructor/Assessors as appropriate
- To support department growth through input to new courses, training standards, customer meetings and the continual improvement of existing courses.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Apply 3t and where appropriate Client’s HSE Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure that all 3t quality and operational procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain and embrace ownership of departmental policies and procedures.

Essential Criteria
Qualifications
- Level 3 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Assessor Award (or willingness to work towards)
- Knowledge & understanding of safety critical training needs to support safe working
- GWO Basic Safety Training (BST)
Person Criteria
- Demonstrate a calm and systematic approach
- Convey information fluently, interpreting and clarifying details and explaining rationale
- Select and use the best method of communication to ensure understanding
- Advise and guide others
- Provide technical coaching / professional guidance, and assist in the development of others.
- Willingness to upskill and deliver in other disciplines in line with business needs
- Use a wide range and depth of technical or specialised knowledge, providing technical leadership and expert advice to others
- Work to develop team spirit and cooperation
- Provide meaningful feedback on a regular, ongoing basis
- Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills
- The ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks
Desirable Criteria
- GWO Advanced Rescue Training
- GWO Enhanced First Aid
- Knowledge & understanding of GWO products
- Health and safety qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH
