Gym Manager – Coaching & Club Leadership

Pro-Fit Gyms•Full-time•Preston, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom•£35k - £40k / year•4d ago

Lead the club. Coach at the highest level. Help build what comes next.

Pro-Fit has been changing lives in Bolton and Preston since 2002. More than 1,000 members have been transformed, and both clubs hold five-star ratings. We're a small-group personal training studio built on three things. Members are family. Accountability gets real results. And fitness should feel good.

Now we're growing, with more sites planned. We're looking for a Gym Manager who can run a club, coach brilliantly, and grow with us.

The role

You'll be the driving force behind the club. You'll grow membership, lead a team that loves coming to work, and make sure every member feels they belong and gets results. You'll do this as a coach first: someone who leads from the floor, not from behind a desk.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll own:

  • Coaching standards: delivering sessions yourself and setting the bar for the team. You'll understand programming well enough to shape, review and improve what members are doing.
  • Growth: leading from the front on consultations and sales conversations, and hitting monthly targets
  • Retention: keeping members engaged and progressing, so they stay for years rather than weeks
  • People: developing a team of trainers through our structured career pathway
  • Operations: making sure the club runs smoothly, safely and to Pro-Fit standards every day

This is a full-time role. You'll need some flexibility for evenings and weekends.

You'll be:

  • A high-level coach with strong programming knowledge, who can deliver, explain progressions and regressions, and coach other coaches
  • An experienced manager in fitness, leisure or hospitality, with a record of hitting sales and retention targets
  • A leader people want to follow: high standards, a positive attitude, and the first to roll up your sleeves
  • Ambitious and excited by the idea of helping a growing business open new sites

What you'll get:

  • £35,000-40,000 base (depending on experience level) plus a bonus linked to club performance
  • A seat at the table as we grow. There's a real chance to shape new sites and the bigger picture, with routes into multi-site leadership.
  • A structured development plan and ongoing education
  • Free membership and a team culture people stay for

Apply with your CV and a few lines on why you're the person to help lead Pro-Fit's next chapter.
