As a Gymnastics Coach in our Birmingham Community Leisure Trust team, you’ll deliver engaging gymnastics sessions for children aged 2 to 11, helping them build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy being active. Your work has purpose, creating positive experiences that support healthy lifestyles and personal growth.
By inspiring young people to participate in sport, you’ll have a positive impact on communities and help create opportunities for the next generation to thrive. Through care, encouragement and expert coaching, you’ll help children develop both physically and socially while building trust with families and participants.
What you’ll do as a Gymnastics Coach
- Plan, prepare and deliver safe, engaging and inclusive gymnastics coaching sessions.
- Adapt coaching methods to suit different ages, abilities and learning styles.
- Support the growth and ongoing development of the gymnastics programme.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required administration in line with local procedures.
- Assist with the promotion of sports and recreational activities across the centres.
- Champion health, safety, equality and safeguarding standards at all times.
Does this sound like you?
- Hold a minimum Level 2 British Gymnastics qualification or equivalent.
- Have excellent communication and customer care skills.
- Be organised, motivated and able to manage your own workload effectively.
- Work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
- Be passionate about the positive impact sport can have on children and communities.
- First Aid and Child Protection qualifications are desirable.

This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements.
