Job Opportunity: Clinical Nurse Specialist - Gynaecology Oncology
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to work within the Gynaecology Oncology team as a Band 7 Macmillan CNS.
Role Overview
The post holder will work as part of the Gynaecology CNS service, providing expert clinical care, advice, and support to patients with suspected or confirmed gynaecological cancers throughout their care pathway. The post holder will play a pivotal role in coordinating care, supporting patients and their families, and ensuring a high standard of patient-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the effective management of cancer pathways.
- Support the multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure patients receive timely information, holistic assessment, and ongoing support from diagnosis through to treatment and beyond.
- Provide a specialist nursing service offering holistic patient-centred care.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues within the Macmillan team.
- Act as a clinical expert and professional resource within the multidisciplinary team.
