Clinical Nurse Specialist - Myeloma and Plasma Cell Disorders
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and self-motivated nurse with strong clinical, leadership skills, and expertise to join the Myeloma and plasma cell disorders nursing team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist on a full-time basis. This will provide an excellent opportunity to focus your advanced nursing skills on direct patient care and service development.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the care of patients undergoing treatment for myeloma and plasma cell disorders.
- Cross-cover within the team to ensure a safe service.
- Facilitate the professional development of junior nurses in the department.
- Act as a specialist educational resource.
Role Overview
The role is part of the renowned cancer nursing service at UCLH, providing professional development opportunities and involvement in national and international conferences. The post holder will manage and coordinate clinical follow-up programmes as part of a multidisciplinary team, acting as a key worker for patients and requiring a sound knowledge of the potential medical and psychological needs of the patient.
