Consultant Haematologist

We are seeking a Consultant Haematologist with an interest in lymphoma and General Haematology to join our team at Withybush General Hospital.
You will join a supportive team of seven consultants delivering a comprehensive haematology service across four hospital sites. Working alongside Associate Specialists, Specialty Doctors, Clinical Fellows, Foundation Trainees, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Specialist Pharmacists, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the region.
The role offers a varied mix of General Haematology and lymphoma work, with opportunities to contribute to service development, multidisciplinary working, teaching, and training. A newly developed job plan supports the continued growth of the post within an evolving service model and provides flexibility to develop areas of specialist interest.
We are looking for a clinician who will bring expertise, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care. You will play an important role in supporting the future direction of haematology services while helping to improve outcomes for patients across West Wales.

Duties:
- Required to be GMC registered on the specialist register or be expected to obtain CCT within 6 months.
- Contribute to all aspects of the general haematology and haemo-oncology work including participation in departmental meetings and on-call rota.
- 10 Sessions with 20% non-clinical work (SPA) per week within job plan.
- Clinics in other hospital sites will be required (virtual clinics are an option).
- Must be someone who can help develop our rural service to ensure excellent patient care.
