Experienced Hair Stylist | Streatham, London SW16 | Full Time

Expected earnings: £24,000 to £49,000 per year

Our client is an established independent salon with a loyal client base and a warm, professional atmosphere. They care deeply about delivering exceptional hairdressing, but they care just as much about creating a workplace where the team feel supported, appreciated and able to grow.

The salon brings together expert hair and beauty services with luxury treatments, conscious haircare and a genuine focus on client wellbeing. They work with premium professional brands including Organethic Pure Care and Oligo Professionnel, allowing them to create beautiful results while taking a more thoughtful approach to haircare and sustainability.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Hair Stylist to join our client's friendly team in Streatham.

This role would suit a confident and experienced stylist who loves their craft, enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and wants to become part of a supportive, close knit salon team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering cutting, colouring and styling services to a consistently high standard
  • Creating a warm and luxurious experience for every client
  • Carrying out thorough consultations and offering thoughtful aftercare advice
  • Building lasting client relationships and encouraging rebooking and retention
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene, presentation and professional standards
  • Supporting the smooth day to day running of the salon
  • Assisting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate
  • Continuing to develop your knowledge of techniques, trends and professional products

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ or SVQ Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing or above
  • At least two years of experience working confidently on the salon floor
  • Strong cutting, colouring, styling and consultation skills
  • Experience with hair ups and straightening systems
  • A warm, professional approach and excellent client care
  • The confidence to recommend services, aftercare and professional products
  • A genuine interest in current trends, techniques and continued learning
  • The ability to manage your time and work efficiently without compromising quality
  • A reliable, organised and positive approach
  • A willingness to contribute to a kind, supportive and professional salon culture
