Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom, with some work-from-home flexibility depending on clinic needs. The Hair Transplant Technician will support hair restoration procedures, including preparing treatment rooms, organising surgical instruments, and assisting practitioners during hair transplant surgeries. The role involves providing clear pre- and post-operative guidance, monitoring client comfort, and collaborating closely with the clinical team to ensure safe, high-quality care. The technician will also help with stock management, equipment checks, and occasional administrative tasks related to client records and appointment scheduling.
Qualifications
- Practical clinical skills in a healthcare or aesthetic setting, such as experience assisting in minor surgical procedures, handling sterile instruments, and following infection control protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise graft handling, sectioning, and placement, with the ability to sustain focus during extended procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support clients throughout their treatment journey, explaining aftercare instructions clearly and maintaining a reassuring, professional manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment, collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and coordinators, while also managing individual responsibilities reliably.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills, including maintaining accurate clinical notes, tracking supplies, and following established workflows and protocols.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and clinic systems (e.g., electronic records, scheduling software) and willingness to learn new technologies relevant to hair restoration.
- Previous experience in hair transplantation, dermatology, cosmetic surgery, or related fields is highly beneficial; formal training as a healthcare assistant, nurse, or technician is an advantage.
- Commitment to high standards of client care, confidentiality, and equality, with a professional, empathetic approach and flexibility to work clinic hours, including occasional weekends.
