Hairdressing Educator

Location: Central Manchester

Salary: Up to £34,000 depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

Working Pattern: Flexible

About the Role

We are working with an established and forward-thinking training provider specialising in hairdressing and barbering education across Greater Manchester. They are looking for a Hairdressing Educator to join their team and help deliver high-quality practical and theory-based training to learners, including apprentices and individuals looking to start a new career in the hair industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hairdresser who has developed an interest in education and wants to combine their industry knowledge with supporting the next generation of hair professionals.

You do not need a formal teaching qualification or assessor qualification for this role. The key requirement is that you have strong, current hairdressing experience and a genuine interest in teaching and developing others.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging practical and theory-based hairdressing training.
  • Demonstrate professional hairdressing techniques and salon standards.
  • Support learners as they develop their technical skills and confidence.
  • Provide guidance, feedback and encouragement throughout their training.
  • Help learners understand both the practical and theoretical aspects of hairdressing.
  • Support apprentices and individuals entering the industry or changing careers.
  • Create an enjoyable, supportive and professional learning environment.
  • Keep your own industry knowledge and technical skills up to date.
  • Contribute ideas to the development of training programmes and learning materials.
  • Encourage learners to develop professional salon behaviours, customer service skills and employability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
