Hall & Rhodes Security Ltd are a Yorkshire-based security company, established in 1965 and fully incorporated in 1973, making them one of the longest-standing firms in the industry with over 50 years of experience and more than 30,000 installations to their name! They're NSI Gold Approved — the highest accreditation in the security sector. They specialise in intruder alarms, CCTV systems, access control, security lighting, and door entry systems for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Based in Brighouse, they cover Yorkshire and into Manchester and Lancashire. They are now looking to recruit a brand new apprentice security engineer!

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

Entry Requirements

  • Due to the travel requirements of the role, a driving license is required
  • Maths and English at grade 4 GCSE (or equivalent) or above
  • A desire to learn more about the wider security installation industry
  • Excellent customer service and team working skills
  • Electrical and/or engineering qualifications or experience would be a bonus
  • Comfortable working at height, due to the nature of the role

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Doncaster centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.

What you’ll do as part of the programme:

  • Train hands-on with real systems
  • Learn from industry experts
  • Complete a wide range of tasks and projects
  • Build evidence from your job to support your learning
  • Sit annual assessments at the centre
