HAMF Governance & Oversight Manager
HSBC Asset Management (Fund Services UK) Ltd (HAMF) is the ACD and management company for HSBC Asset Management’s (AM) UK fund ranges with assets under management of GBP80bn (data as at 31/06/26).
The HAMF Governance & Oversight Manager will report directly to the CEO of HAMF. The role is responsible for assisting in the governance of HAMF’s UK domiciled funds, including oversight of affiliate / third-party service providers. Our focus is ensuring a high-quality client experience and risk-controlled environment to how the UK fund range operates.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in the governance, oversight, and strategic development of a leading fund management business, working closely with senior leadership, Board directors, and key service providers to support growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Drive a robust governance framework, ensuring key committees operate effectively, provide constructive challenge, and deliver clear oversight and visibility to the ACD Board.
- Lead governance and audit action tracking, ensuring risks, findings, and remediation activities are resolved efficiently and within agreed timelines.
- Build and manage strong relationships with internal Distribution and Investment Management teams, acting as a trusted partner across the business.
- Oversee critical third-party service providers, driving service excellence through effective performance management, issue resolution, due diligence, and governance oversight.
- Monitor and enhance supplier performance, using KPIs and SLAs to ensure high-quality service delivery and operational resilience across the wider service provider network.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality Board and management reporting, providing clear, insightful written and verbal updates to senior stakeholders and directors.
- Support the execution of HAMF's operational strategy, helping deliver growth objectives while ensuring scalable and efficient operating models.
- Champion operational simplification and client protection, ensuring excellent client outcomes and safeguarding Asset Management interests remain at the heart of business decisions.

Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience within financial services, ideally in asset management, with expertise in Operations, Compliance, Risk, Governance, and third-party/vendor oversight.
- Strong ability to influence and engage a broad range of stakeholders, including fund boards, independent directors, senior executives, service providers, regulators, and industry representatives.
- Demonstrated capability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships while ensuring robust independent oversight and challenge.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and report-writing skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams in a global environment.
- Skilled in managing conflict, navigating competing priorities, and making balanced decisions that protect investor and shareholder interests.
- Highly organised and proactive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of the external market environment, including regulatory developments, industry trends, political influences, and competitor activity.
