About Mute Garage

Cities are congested, loud, and choked by outdated transport models - and we are here to rewrite the script! At MUTE Garage, we aren't just deploying electric mopeds; we are building the operational backbone of sustainable urban mobility. If you are an experienced hands-on tech who loves the smell of a workshop, knows how to keep a fleet moving, and isn't afraid to grab a wrench when it counts, this is your arena.

Role Overview

MUTE Garage is scaling its active urban electric moped fleet across London. We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanic or Workshop Lead to take charge of our London fleet operations. This is a hands-on, tools-first role. While you’ll oversee workshop workflow, parts inventory, and safety compliance, you will spend a significant portion of your week right on the floor: stripping down e-mopeds, diagnosing complex electrical faults, flashing controllers, and managing battery health.

You won't just fix things yourself; you'll build the standard operating procedures and mentor our team so we can scale clean, efficient repairs across our London hubs.

What You’ll Actually Do

  • Hands-On Diagnostics & Repair: Directly execute complex e-moped repairs, motor and controller swaps, and battery management system (BMS) diagnostics to keep fleet uptime high.
  • Workshop Leadership: Manage daily workshop workflow, tooling, and parts organization across our London hubs.
  • Systems & SOPs: Write clear, practical repair guides and technical procedures so the whole team operates safely and efficiently.
  • Parts & Supply Chain: Own local stock control, tracking spare parts consumption, ordering components, and keeping shrinkage and waste to zero.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant workshop environment adhering to UK health and safety standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Requirements: Clean UK driving licence (for moving vehicles between hubs/mobile support) and full UK working rights.

Benefits & What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: £40,000 – £48,700 basic salary (depending on experience).
