Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Handyman / Property Maintenance role based in London. The role involves carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep across residential properties, including tasks such as fixing fixtures and fittings, basic plumbing and electrical work, painting and decorating, and monitoring building systems. The Handyman / Property Maintenance professional will conduct regular inspections, identify issues before they escalate, coordinate with specialist contractors when needed, and ensure work areas are clean and safe. The role also includes responding to maintenance requests from household members, managing small improvement projects, and maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used, and upcoming maintenance needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical skills in general property maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and minor repair work.
  • Experience performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting issues in residential properties.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment, following health and safety best practices at all times.
  • Organizational skills for planning work, managing multiple tasks, and maintaining logs of maintenance activities and inventories.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully with household members, colleagues, and external contractors.
  • Proven reliability, discretion, and integrity when working in private homes; ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Prior experience in a handyman, building maintenance, facilities, or similar role; experience in high-end or private residential settings is an advantage.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and availability to work full-time on-site in London; flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work when urgent issues arise.
