Hard Landscaper / Groundworker
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Merseyside
Job Type: Permanent – Full Time
The Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Hard Landscaper / Groundworker to join their team, working across residential properties throughout Merseyside and the surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on role focused primarily on hard landscaping and external maintenance, including paving, flagging, fencing, gates, pointing and minor brickwork repairs.
The successful candidate will have strong practical skills and take pride in delivering high-quality external works, ensuring properties and communal areas are safe, functional and well presented.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out hard landscaping and external maintenance works to residential properties
- Install, repair and replace paving, flags and slabs
- Complete repairs and replacement of fencing and gates
- Carry out pointing and minor brickwork repairs
- Repair and maintain paths, driveways and other external areas
- Carry out minor groundwork associated with landscaping projects
- Remove and replace damaged paving and external surfaces
- Prepare ground and surfaces for paving and other landscaping works
- Diagnose defects and identify the appropriate repair solution
- Work across residential and communal areas
- Maintain clean, safe and tidy working areas
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Complete work to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service
- Record completed works accurately using PDA/mobile technology

About You
We're looking for an experienced Hard Landscaper, Landscaper, Groundworker or External Works Operative with a strong background in residential or property maintenance environments.
You should have practical experience across a range of hard landscaping works, particularly paving, flagging, fencing and brickwork.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in hard landscaping, groundwork or external maintenance
- Strong experience with paving, flagging and slab installation/repairs
- Experience installing and repairing fencing and gates
- Experience with pointing and minor brickwork repairs
- Good knowledge of external maintenance and repair techniques
- Ability to work independently and complete jobs to a high standard
- Experience working on residential properties or within occupied/tenanted homes is advantageous
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to use a PDA or mobile device to update work orders
- Relevant NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent construction qualification is desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- DBS check, or willingness to undertake one
- Right to work in the UK
