Training and development

Upon joining, an extensive two-week induction programme will introduce you to our estates, including opportunities to meet team members, visit different sites, and engage with customers and supplier partners.

Throughout your career with us, you’ll be encouraged to further develop your own skills and abilities. We offer extensive learning opportunities in areas related to your field of work and provide a personal development fund should you wish to upskill in a way that benefits the role. As you develop in the role, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, including managing the wider facilities management portfolio as additional sites are added. These opportunities would typically be considered once you have been in post for 12 to 18 months.

You’ll receive a starting salary of £67,073 if you’re London-based or £65,288 for all other locations, plus a range of other benefits including:

What to expect

Our recruitment process is fair, transparent and based on merit. Here is a brief overview of each stage, in order:

• An initial online application form, including pre-screening questions to ensure you meet our eligibility criteria
• An online Situational Judgement Test (SJT), rating the appropriateness of your responses to a series of short scenarios. The SJT tests criteria important for all roles in our organisation
• An application sift reviewing your motivation, skills and a competency question
• A motivation and competency-based interview that may include technical questions
• If successful, you’ll receive a conditional offer of employment

Please note you must successfully pass each stage of the process to progress to the next. Your application may take around 6 to 9 months to process, including vetting, so we advise you to continue any current employment until you have received your final job offer.

This role requires the highest security clearance, known as Developed Vetting (DV). It’s something everyone in the UK Intelligence Community undertakes. Find out more about the vetting process. The role is based in London, East Anglia, Cambridge or Middlesex, so you’ll need to live within a commutable distance.
