Salary: £63,036.72 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6am - 6pm)

Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, TA5 1UD


G4S Facilities Management are looking for an experienced Hard Services Supervisor for a full-time, permanent position. This is a distinctive opportunity to join our team at Hinkley Point C, located in Bridgwater.

The Hard Services Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Hard FM Manager in leading and overseeing a multi-skilled team responsible for all trades in hard FM, including electrical, mechanical, and handyman services across a range of sites within the Hinkley Point C contract. They will ensure that the team of engineers and maintenance technicians complete all PPM and reactive maintenance activities in a timely manner and in line with contract SLAs and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Team & Operations Leadership: Lead, schedule, and supervise engineers and contractors across PPMs, reactive tasks, and minor works—managing Permits to Work, site safety, and holiday/absence cover.
  • Technical Authority & Compliance: Serve as the technical lead for shift fault-diagnosis across all Hard FM assets (M&E, HVAC, security), sign off on minor installs/EICRs, and maintain PAT and statutory compliance registers.
  • Safety, Quality & Process: Perform H&S site checks, utilize O&M manuals/drawings for high-standard repairs, draft technical reports, and assist with quotes for minor projects.
  • Upskilling & Emergency Response: Mentor staff to foster cross-skilling, manage specialist sub-contractors, and participate in the emergency on-call rota.

Essential (2 Or More Of The Following)

  • Level 3 electrotechnical qualification and NVQ level 3
  • Level 2 plumbing and heating qualification and NVQ level 2
  • Level 2 qualification in Air conditioning and refrigeration
