About the Role

The Hardware Deployment Engineer (L1) is responsible for providing senior-level technical support for network and desktop infrastructure, ensuring connectivity, performance, and timely resolution of network-related issues. This role ensures alignment between operational execution and business objectives while maintaining service quality, uptime, and SLA compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and install IT hardware according to the BOM.
  • Install and mount timeclocks, kiosks, thin clients, tablets, monitors, badge readers, PoE splitters, USB docks, and peripherals.
  • Perform physical connections, power-on checks, and basic functionality testing.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, connectivity, and installation issues on-site.
  • Report missing, damaged, or faulty equipment and complete remedial work when required.
  • Maintain installation records and provide site handover.
  • Follow customer, site, health & safety, and equipment-handling standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as an IT Field Engineer, Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with IT hardware installation and deployment.
  • Knowledge of PoE, cabling, peripherals, and basic networking.
  • Good troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently at customer sites.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Comfortable performing physical installation work.
