Hardware Engineer We’re looking for a Hardware Engineer to join a growing engineering team working on the design, development and testing of electronic hardware.

You don’t need years of experience for this role. We’re much more interested in someone who understands the basics, is hands-on, curious, and isn't afraid to pick up a soldering iron and get stuck into a circuit.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to the full hardware development process, from initial design through to prototyping, testing and troubleshooting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the design and development of electronic hardware
  • Working on electronics and analogue/digital circuits
  • Building and modifying prototypes and test boards
  • Soldering, reworking and assembling electronic components
  • Using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies
  • Carrying out hardware testing, fault-finding and debugging
  • Supporting PCB bring-up and testing
  • Reading schematics and understanding electronic circuits
  • Working with senior engineers to solve technical problems
  • Documenting test results and engineering changes
  • Learning and developing your skills across hardware and power electronics

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
