Hardware Security Research Engineer

I’m recruiting for a Hardware Security Research Engineer to join a highly technical team tackling complex security challenges across electronic and cyber-physical systems.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys hardware analysis, vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and developing proof-of-concept solutions.

You’ll be working on:

  • Researching electronic systems and hardware architectures
  • Identifying hardware and cyber-physical security vulnerabilities
  • Conducting hardware analysis, testing, and vulnerability research
  • Developing proof-of-concept prototypes and technical demonstrations
  • Debugging hardware using JTAG, UART, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers
  • Reverse engineering hardware and firmware where required
  • Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop practical security solutions

We’re looking for:

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with electronics, hardware systems, or security research
  • Hands-on experience debugging hardware and developing prototypes
  • Experience in hardware analysis, testing, or reverse engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly
  • A collaborative approach to working across engineering and security teams
